Shopping online for musical instruments and accessories

When Jake told me that he was looking to buy a new guitar, I suggested that he do some of his comparison shopping online before actually committing to purchase the guitar. It is all well and good to go down to the mall and try out a few guitars, but sometimes the stores at the mall have a lot higher prices. Don’t get me wrong, I support local businesses as much as I can, but if you can save a hundred bucks or more of your own hard-earned money by shopping around for a few minutes, then I am all for it! And sometimes if you can prove that you can get a better deal somewhere, the local merchant will lower their price to match it. So I suggested to Jake that he check out the Guitar Center’s website and see what kind of prices they have before committing to a purchase. Shop smart and check around!

Coupon queen

I have turned into somewhat of a coupon queen. You have to do what ever it takes to make ends meet when you’re a single Mom on a limited income, you know what I mean. Every Sunday I get the paper for the coupons but I also check online anytime I plan on going shopping either for food or whatever. I love the online coupon sites. You can check each individual store from some sites and you can go to certain stores and they’ll allow you to print out coupons right from their web site. The best sites are the ones that offer discounts to several stores right on their web site.

Car Shopping

It’s time┬áto go car shopping. I’ve been checking out popular automobile websites online, reading my newspaper’s classified ads, and I even picked up a few car sales magazines. It’s a little overwhelming, to tell you the truth.

I need something that I can pay for with the money we’ll get from the insurance company. I might be able to swing something that’s a little more if I can make┬ápayments. I’m not looking forward to talking to car dealers, but I’m not ruling it out.

I saw a cute little 4 door sedan for sale for only $7,500. I’m going to check it out this afternoon. It will be nice if my search ends there and I don’t have to head out to the car lots this weekend.

A little bit of bling never hurt anyone

One of the things I enjoy doing, when I have a few extra minutes, and a few extra dollars, is going shopping for fashion jewelry. To be honest, I don’t have as much jewelry as most of my friends and relatives, because I always make sure that the household needs are taken care of before splurging on something like that, but every now and then I like to treat myself to something nice. I try to buy something that will be timeless, and classic, because I don’t want to spend my money on something that will go out of style in only a few months. I don’t have money to waste on short-term trends, you know what I mean?

I found it!

I was so surprised to be able to find the boss fender reverb pedal that Dave put on his Christmas gift wish list when I was shopping today! I was at the mall, and just happened to be walking past a store that sells musical instruments. I didn’t think I’d have any luck finding it, but I went straight to the employee standing behind the counter and asked him if he could help me. When I showed him the list, he told me that he only had one left in stock, and he took me right to it! Within just a couple of minutes the item was paid for, bagged, and I was on my way out the door to finish the rest of my shopping! I am so glad that gift is out of the way – I thought that was going to be the hardest one to find!
