Painting the Grass Green

Today was the community Easter Egg Hunt. I took Lady Bug to gather eggs with the other children in the neighborhood. She had tons of fun running around in the grass at the park. I snapped a bunch of pictures of her looking for the hidden eggs.

The grass looked soo vibrant in all of the pictures. It reminded me of a time I went to visit family in Tennessee and saw a man spraying green onto the grass in front of a business.  I thought it was pretty strange at first. Then I saw another person spraying the same green substance onto his front lawn. I appreciate a nice looking lawn, but I’ve never considered faking it with spray paint.

Sprinklers Are Practical and Fun

It was pretty warm this afternoon.  Lady Bug and I needed a fun way to cool off.  I turned on the sprinklers in our back yard and we put on our swim suits.  Lady Bug and I had a blast running through the sprinklers.  The lawn needed the extra water.  I hate when the grass gets too dry so I figured it couldn’t hurt it.

We ran through the water for a good fifteen minutes.  It felt great having the cool water splash up against our skin.  It reminded me of when I was her age and would run outside in our sprinklers. By the time we were finished we were sopping wet and the grass had a good drink.  Everyone was happy.

Pesky Weeds Just Won’t Go Away

The weeds in my back yard are really frustrating me.  There is a corner in the back that I just can’t seem to get a handle on.  I’ve tried pulling them, spraying them, you name it I’ve done it.  I’m at a loss as for what to do to get rid of them.  I’d like my lawn to be free of weeds but I’m almost at the point of giving up.

I guess now is the time for me to either do a bunch more research on weed control or call out the big guys to see what they can suggest.  I wonder if I can get a consultation and see if they can give me some advice.  I might be better off just having them rip everything out and starting over.  Renovating the back yard could be a fun project.
