Merry Christmas everyone!!! I wanted to add a little Christmas cheer to my blog quickly since I’m still awake. Santa just left our house and left a bunch of gifts under the tree for Lady Bug. I know she’ll be really excited to see what she gets when she wakes up. I saw him fill her stocking too! He placed and orange at the bottom of the stocking to fill the toe just like he did in my stocking when I was a little girl. I hope she appreciate this tradition as much as I did growing up. I loved getting goodies but always liked to have a piece of fresh fruit in my stocking.
Santa gobbled up the cookies Lady Bug made for him and he took the carrots with him for the reindeer. Lady Bug will be excited to see everything has been eaten off of her special Santa plate. I better get some sleep before she wakes up and I get no sleep at all. Merry Christmas everyone!
Yummy!!! Someone brought in some very tasty Halloween treats to the office today. There were brownies in the shape if bats, and cute little cat and pumpkin cookies. I tried to resist but by the end of the day I ended up eating one of each.
If I don’t want to put on 10 pounds this holiday season I better beware of all the delicious treats that I’ll see in the coming months. I know I won’t be able to say no to everything. I just need to learn to take the treats in moderation. Is one treat a day too much?
Lady Bug and I had a fabulous time at my parents’ house this weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday. We ended up bringing the cute little Oreo Cookie Turkeys and deviled eggs. Lady Bug helped me with both. Lady Bug wanted to eat most of the ingredients to the turkeys but I managed to get her to assemble them. I told her once we brought them to nana’s house she could eat a few more.
We had a full house this weekend. My parents’ hosted 30 people for Thanksgiving. Before we had our big meal we all went around the room and shared one thing we were thankful for. I always cry when I hear some of the things people mention for which they are thankful. Lady Bug said she was thankful to get to help mommy make the turkeys and deviled eggs to share with everyone. It was really cute and sweet all at the same time.
After everyone ate we enjoyed some coffee and sweets and played a few board games. That’s always one of my favorite parts of the holidays. I love just sitting around and playing a game or two with my family and friends. We had a fantastic Thanskgiving this year!
