When it comes to gift giving and long distances it’s always important to make sure things will arrive on time.  I like to give gifts for Easter to friends and family that don’t live near me.  I usually send items via the post office.  This time of year the line is not nearly as bad as it would be if I needed delivery before Christmas in December.

My grandparents are very special to me and I always remember to send them something.  This year I’m sending them a homemade gift basket that Lady Bug and I put together.  She drew a couple of pictures for both of them to hang on their refrigerator.  She also painted a cute little plastic light catcher for a window.  I’ve added a jar of my grandmother’s favorite blackberry jam and  some of my grandfather’s favorite salami.  It doesn’t sound like much but with the inclusion of  a family picture of Lady Bug and I  the basket is complete.

My grandparents are happy with nothing at all.  I just like to send them a little something to let them know we are thinking about them.
