Fun Filling Easter Baskets

Putting together Easter Baskets is something I look forward to every year.  I like to get a really big wicker basket and decorate it with pretty pink and purple ribbons.  I stuff the basket with artificial grass and sometimes some Easter confetti.  This year I found some cute confetti that has little chicks, bunnies, and eggs.  They make a mess but are too cute.  I don’t ind vacuuming them up if they get all over the floor.

I went shopping yesterday to start getting all the pieces I plan to add to Lady Bug’s basket this year.  I found the most precious, plush, floppy bunny that I’ve ever seen.  It’s a pale brown color and has soft pink lining on his ears.  I also got a couple of neat little puzzles for her to put together. Because she’s so obsessed with princesses and ponies I got her one of each.  I also added in some containers with scented bubbles.  She can’t seem to stop smiling when bubbles are involved.  In addition to these I picked up some crayons, markers, and two coloring books.

To round out the basket filled with her favorite items, I added a few pieces of candy.  What would and Easter basket be without a chocolate bunny?  Of course I included the traditional marshmallow chicks and bunnies.  And more for me than her, I added a big bag of jelly beans.  I can’t seem to get enough of the little sugary bits.  She always shares them with me so I gave her a big bag.  I know she’ll love everything in basket this year.  I can’t wait to see her face when she gets it Easter morning when she finds it sitting out in the garden.
